How to setup Date & Time on my X-Series device?

Follow these steps to configure the date and time settings on your X-Series device:

Step 1: Access the Device

• Log in to your X-Series device and navigate to Main Menu > Setup.

Step 2: Navigate to Date and Time Settings

• Go to System Settings > General > Date and Time.

Step 3: Configure Date and Time Settings

Adjust the following options to suit your requirements:

• Time Setting Mode: Choose between two options:
  • Static: Manually set the date and time. Recommended if the device is not connected to the internet.
  • NTP Server Synchronization: Automatically syncs the date and time with an NTP server. Recommended for internet-connected devices to ensure accurate and updated timekeeping.
• Date Format: Select the preferred date display format (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, etc.).
• Time Zone: Choose the appropriate time zone for your location. If unsure, research your region’s time zone to ensure accuracy.
• Time Format: Select either a 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour format for time display.
• System Time: Displays the current date and time. If using Static mode, manually adjust the date and time here to ensure accuracy.
• Server Address: Input the NTP server address for synchronization. The default address is typically suitable, but you can modify it if needed.

Step 4: Configure Daylight Saving Time (if applicable)

If your location observes Daylight Saving Time (DST), proceed with the following steps. Otherwise, skip to Step 6.

1. Select the Daylight Saving Time tab at the top.
2. Enable the Daylight Saving Time option.
3. Adjust the following settings based on your location:
   • Start Time: Set the date and time when DST begins.
   • End Time: Set the date and time when DST ends.

   • Time Offset: Specify the time adjustment (e.g., +1 hour) for DST.

• Confirm that the date, time, and DST settings (if applicable) are correct by checking the System Time display.
