Configuring YouTube streaming is a highly effective feature that enables real-time video broadcasting. It is particularly well-suited for applications such as sporting events, marinas, wildlife sanctuaries, zoos, construction sites, and similar settings requiring live video transmission.

Follow these steps to configure YouTube streaming on your X-Series device.
Configuring your X-Series device
To configure YouTube streaming on your X-Series device using the RTMP protocol, follow these steps:
- Access RTMP Settings: Navigate to Setup > Remote Setting > Network > Platform Access > RTMP.
- Enable RTMP: Activate the RTMP feature by selecting the enable option, then click "Save" to confirm.
- Configure Streaming Details: Enter the server address for your streaming platform (e.g., YouTube’s RTMP URL). Choose the desired stream type (Mainstream is recommended for optimal quality). Select the specific channel from your X-Series device that you wish to stream.
Save Settings: Ensure all configurations are saved to initiate the streaming setup.
How to find your Youtube information needed
To obtain the server address for configuring YouTube streaming on your X-Series device, follow these steps:
- Sign In to YouTube: Access YouTube and ensure you are logged into the account you intend to use for streaming.
- Initiate Live Streaming: Click the "Create" icon located in the top right corner of the YouTube homepage, then select "Go Live" from the dropdown menu.
- Access Live Streaming Configuration: This will direct you to the live streaming configuration page. You will be prompted with a question asking if your video is intended for children. Select "No, it's not made for kids."
- Retrieve Stream Details: On the configuration page, locate the "Stream Key" and "Stream URL" fields. These are the essential details needed for your X-Series device setup.
- Configure the Server Address: Copy the Stream URL and paste it into the RTMP server address field on your X-Series device (under Setup > Remote Setting > Network > Platform Access > RTMP). Append a forward slash (/) to the URL, then copy and paste or type the Stream Key immediately after the slash.
- Save and Activate: Click "Save" to apply the settings. Your X-Series device should now be configured to stream to YouTube.
