X-Series Push Notification Setup

Setting up push notifications in the X-Series XMV mobile app is quick and straightforward. Before proceeding, ensure the device you want notifications for is already added to the app.  

 

Configuration

To configure push notifications in the X-Series XMV mobile app, follow these detailed steps. Ensure the device you want notifications for is already added to the app before proceeding:

  1. Open the App: Launch the X-Series XMV mobile app on your mobile phone or tablet.
  2. Access Notifications:
    • Open the main menu.
    • Select the "Notifications" option.

3. Select Devices:

  • Tap the gear icon in the top right corner of the Notifications screen.
  • Locate the switch next to the device(s) you wish to receive push notifications from and toggle it to the "On" position.

4. Customize Notification Settings:

  • Once the switch is enabled, a gear icon will appear next to it. Tap this gear icon to access the Push Notification Settings page.
  • By default, all notification features are enabled. Review the list of options and disable any specific alerts (e.g., motion detection or system events) you do not wish to receive.

5. Configure Push Interval (Optional):

  • Locate the "Enable Push Interval" option, which includes a dropdown for "Interval Time."
  • Adjust the interval time to set how long the app waits before sending another push notification, helping to limit the frequency of notifications throughout the day.

6. Save Settings: Ensure all changes are saved to activate your customized push notification preferences.

Note: Verify that the app has permission to send notifications in your device’s settings (iOS: Settings > Notifications > X-Series XMV; Android: Settings > Apps > X-Series XMV > Notifications). Ensure Do Not Disturb or Focus Mode settings are not blocking notifications. For optimal performance, keep the app updated.
